Korea Checkup Guide

Screening institutions in Korea by region

Published Draft: kept out of search until the figures are confirmed

Official rule references are verified; numerical institution, population, patient and participation snapshots have not yet been collected.

Korea Checkup Guide separates a reference rule comparison from an individual NHIS decision. Use the source-specific conditions for the screening year.

Which checkup numerical snapshots are available?

Official rule references are verified; numerical institution, population, patient and participation snapshots have not yet been collected.

A pending cell does not mean zero. No line, rank or per-population estimate is generated from an absent observation. The interface allows a region or year to be selected so the intended comparison is clear, then states the missing source material.

Publication requires the original file or authenticated API response, retrieval date, version, row count and usable license. A successful response from a data-catalog page verifies the catalog, not the numeric records behind it. Draft numerical pages stay outside the public sitemap.

How should public checkup figures be compared?

Participation, institution density and foreign-patient shares measure different populations and require compatible denominators.

For an institution-density calculation, the numerator must use a clear unit. One institution can have more than one screening designation. Adding general, cancer and oral rows can double-count the same institution unless the source explicitly defines a distinct combined count.

A checkup-centre department category does not necessarily identify the reason for a person’s whole trip. Reported foreign-patient totals, visitors, unique people and visits must not be joined as interchangeable counts. Source notes decide whether nationalities and years can be compared.

What happens before and after a checkup?

Check entitlement, confirm the designated screening type, follow written preparation instructions and arrange how results will be received.

A visit has more than a test date. Language support for the questionnaire, consent and results may need separate confirmation. An institution count does not identify which communication services are available or whether a particular appointment is open.

Preparation depends on the planned tests and individual circumstances. This guide does not give a single fasting period or tell anyone to stop medication. Use the institution’s instructions and medical advice for medication, pregnancy-related questions and other personal conditions.

What can a screening estimate not decide?

A rule comparison does not diagnose, book a visit or retrieve an individual NHIS record.

A birth year, sex and insurance category cannot capture previous tests, risk-group registration, treatment-related deferrals or changes during the year. Conditional items remain conditional even when their age threshold is met.

Korea Checkup Guide uses no patient name, ID number, full birth date or contact form. Calculator fields stay in browser memory. Optional server-side request logging is described separately in the editorial and privacy information.

Institution density

Eligibility is a reference estimate. NHIS records and the screening notice determine actual entitlement; past examinations, enrollment changes and risk criteria can alter the result.

What else do people ask about Screening institutions in Korea by region?

Can foreign insured residents use national screening?

Eligible foreign insured residents use the applicable NHIS program conditions. Nationality alone does not replace current insurance and target records.

Is the calculator an official eligibility lookup?

No. It compares published rules locally and has no access to personal NHIS records or employer lists.

Why can a past test change the answer?

Some items are offered once in an age band, while treatment or a previous examination can affect selection or deferral.

Can an annual worker get every cancer test annually?

The annual non-office rule applies to general screening. Cancer programs retain their own age, risk and interval conditions.

Does a blank statistic mean zero?

No. Blank numerical snapshots are uncollected or incompatible records and are never replaced with estimated observations.
